Vast little Worlds
Anthesis is the moment a flower opens its petals and comes into full bloom. For me, it became a metaphor for childhood itself, a time when imagination awakened as naturally as flowers unfurling towards the sun.
As a child, I wandered through gardens imagining tiny worlds hidden beneath the blossoms. I would crouch down close to the ground, wondering what stories were unfolding there, what fragrances filled the air, and what little wonders might be discovered amongst the petals. Ordinary flowers became kingdoms, petals transformed into dresses, and unseen creatures inhabited realms just beyond sight.
Through this series, I revisit that enchanted garden of childhood, a place where wonder bloomed freely and every petal held the promise of magic. It reflects on the boundless imagination with which children encounter the world and asks what might happen if we allowed our minds to bloom as freely once again.
